Hunger Response International / the Rice Raiser has partnered with CAUSE Canada on the following projects:
Rice Raiser Campaign 2008:
Nutrition for Children in SIERRA LEONE: Funds were provided to feed 300 school children nutritious lunches for 10 months, seeds were purchased for their school garden, 10 people were provided with $50 micro-loans, 9 women received literacy training.
Rice Raiser Campaign 2007:
HONDURAS Food Sustainability Project – Funds were provided for: 80 women were trained in biointensive composting and small farming techniques,4 junior high schools received a boost to their Agricultural curriculums, 8 women’s groups and four schools were selected for indepth training and technical support
Rice Raiser Campaign 2006:
GUATEMALA..Seeds to Feed – Funds were sent to purchase 16 – 100 lb. bags of bean seed to be shared with Hurricane Stan devastated farmers.
