Students have been impacted by their experience in the Rice Raiser Campaign. We are pleased to provide a sampling of their feedback:
The Rice Raiser was a great experience because the satisfaction was great! We raised a lot of money. It’s great knowing that I made a difference.
The Rice Raiser Campaign definitely opened my eyes to the world of hunger and made me realize what’s happening. It is so important because if everybody knew, a big difference could be made!
I believe the Rice Raiser is important because some people in our world are struggling, whole some live in a life without struggles, but they are not thankful!

I think it is important that everyone knows about hunger because some people are oblivious!
I think that in Canada we live in a ‘bubble’ and don’t often think much about conditions in the rest of the world. I think we need to be educated about hunger.
I think that if I don’t bring anything to help, I can’t expect anyone else to either.
I found the Rice Raiser to be an eye-opening experience and I thought about the people who aren’t able to eat when they are hungry.
I realized how just a small amount or effort could change people’s lives.
I think the Rice Raiser is very important because learning is the first step to helping hungry people.

Learning about world hunger is crucial because if you don’t know about a thing you can’t do anything about it.
It’s important to learn about hunger because if we know what’s going on, we can know how to help.
If we participate in the Rice Raiser, we can help people in Africa to make their lives better.
The best thing about the Rice Raiser is we are actually helping people.
Participating in the Rice Raiser made me realize that we are really lucky to live in Canada and we have a good government and no wars.
You can see us…we’re not hungry, but kids in Kenya are. That’s why we need to help.
